TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The rent must be paid in advance.
For rentals less than 24 hours, the charge will be for an entire day (24 hours).
The car must be returned at the same time and place it was rented.
For late returns, an additional day (24 hours) will be charged. PLEASE REFER TO “SPECIAL CHARGES”.
Extension of the rental period must happen before the return date, and must be paid immediately.
When extending the rental period, if not paid immediately, US$ 15 administration cost will be charged for each delayed day.
When returning the car the fuel level must be at the same level as when the car was rented. If not there will be charges for each 1/8 of the missing fuel. PLEASE REFER TO “SPECIAL CHARGES”. Unless has chosen for; “FUEL SERVICES OPTION”.
The car must be returned same as delivered, clean. Otherwise PLEASE REFER TO “SPECIAL CHARGES”.
The rental car is third party insured (W.A.) Unless has Paid for the additional insurance. Coverage and deductible in case of a collision depend on the insurance that has chosen for;
Third party insured (W.A.)
This insurance in case of a collision will cover the damage made to the other vehicles or properties with a maximum amount of ANG. 150,000.00 (covered by the insurance company) and the RENTER has to cover the damage made to Curacao Rent for Less vehicle. Upon payment of the deductible of US$ 750.00. (If the Road Patrol determines that is the Renter’s fault) however we will keep the deductible until final decision by the local authorities is released.
Option 1 Collision Damage Weaver (C.D.W.)
This insurance in case of a collision will cover the damage made to the other vehicles or properties and also to Curacao Rent For Less Vehicle (maximum coverage amount of ANG. 150,000.00 / covered by the insurance company) upon payment by the RENTER the deductible of US$ 350.00. As a maximum charge by the renter (If the Road Patrol determines that is the Renter’s fault) however we will keep the deductive until final decision by the local authorities is released. This is an additional insurance.
(or) Option 2 Collision Damage Weaver (C.D.W.)
This insurance in case of a collision will cover the damage made to the other vehicles or properties and also to Curacao Rent For Less Vehicle (maximum coverage amount of ANG. 150,000.00 / covered by the insurance company) upon payment by the RENTER the deductible of US$ 500.00. As a maximum charge by the renter (If the Road Patrol determines that is the Renter’s fault) however we will keep the deductive until final decision by the local authorities is released. This is an additional insurance.
(or) Option 3 Collision Damage Weaver (C.D.W.)
This insurance in case of a collision will cover the damage made to the other vehicles or properties and also to Curacao Rent For Less Vehicle (maximum coverage amount of ANG. 150,000.00 / covered by the insurance company) upon payment by the RENTER the deductible of US$ 650.00. As a maximum charge by the renter (If the Road Patrol determines that is the Renter’s fault) however we will keep the deductive until final decision by the local authorities is released. This is an additional insurance.
In case of an accident please call 199(CRS) and the rental car company.
In case of an accident the renter/driver has to pay the claim cost (listed on clause).
The renter/driver will be charged for any damage done to the rental car. It’s strictly forbidden to go to places where the car can be damaged, e.g. “Christoffel Park” or “Koraal Tabak” or similar places.
Flat or damaged tires will be charged to the renter/driver. PLEASE REFER TO “SPECIAL CHARGES”.
If the rental car is damaged, the rental agreement remains until the car is repaired.
The renter/driver must have a valid driver’s license.
Only the entered renters/drivers is/are allowed to drive the rental car.
Non-entered drivers will be considered as strangers, and will be treated as “joy riders”. It will be reported immediately to the police.
If a stranger is spotted in the rental car, the rental car will be taken in immediately and the renter/driver will lose his deposit and the rest of the rent.
If the rental car is spotted on unattended location, the rental car will be taken in, and the renter/driver will lose the deposit as well as the rest of the rent.
The renter/driver is always responsible for the rental car, as well as any damage done to the rental car, e.g. flood damage, fines, theft, scratches, etc.
The rental car is property of the rental company. During the rental period, it is not permitted to service or repair, nor to change or exchange anything on the rental car without the permission of the rental company.
It is not allowed to transport more persons than is allowed in the owner’s manual or by the traffic rules. It is neither allowed to tow trailers, vehicles, or anything else. BY SIGNING THIS CONTRACT I agree that the Vehicle shall NOT be used by or for any of the following PROHIBITED USES, subject to applicable law:
a. by an unauthorized driver;
b. by any driver under the influence of intoxicants, drugs, or any other substance known to impair driving ability;
c. for any illegal purpose;
d. by anyone who gives the Company a false name, address, age or other false or misleading information;
e. in any abusive or reckless manner of if convicted of careless driving;
f. to carry persons or property for hire;
g. to tow or push anything, vehicles, or anything else.
h. in any race, rest, contest, or training activity;
I. on unpaved roads;
j. leaving the vehicle and failing to remove the keys and the vehicle is stolen.I UNDERSTAND THAT IF THE VEHICLE IS OBTAINED OR USED FOR ANY PROHIBITED USE OR IN VIOLATION OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE VOID AND THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE ON THIS CONTRACT AS RENTER OR DRIVER WILL BE FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL LOSS AND RESULTING DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF USE, CLAIMS PROCESSING FEES, ADMINISTRATIVE CHARGES, COSTS AND ATTORNEY’S FEES ALSO, WHERE PERMITTED BY LAW, THE C.D.W. OPTION SHALL BE VOID.
The renter/driver is responsible for checking warning lamps, headlamps, turn signal lamps, park lights and stop lights on a daily basis. If something irregular is spotted, it must be reported immediately to the rental company. If you hear any strange noise(s) on the rental car, stop the car, turn off the engine and call the rental company.
If the renter/driver sees a warning lamp turning on, stop the car immediately and report it to the rental company. For any damage caused to the rental car due to ignoring warning lamps or noises, the renter/driver will be charged.
For all damages done to the rental car during the rental period the renter/driver will be charged. Parking at dark places, unsafe places, isolated places, dangerous places or in construction areas the renter/driver will be charged in case of damage to the rental car.
The renter/driver gives unconditional authorization to the rental company when using a credit card as deposit, to charge everything the renter/driver is responsible for.
Such as;
a. Minimum Charges – I understand the minimum rental charge is for one day (24 hours), beginning at the time of rental.
b. I agree to pay you upon demand:
1. All rates, charges, taxes, airport fees, including charges for miscellaneous service and equipment, including a service charge for lost keys locked in the Vehicle, and all other amounts incurred as a result of this rental transaction. (Please refer SPECIAL CHARGES).
2. Vehicle Damage-Regardless of fault, all loss or estimated damage to Vehicle, including loss of use, claims processing fees and administrative charges, as permitted by law, while renting under this Agreement. If loss or damage to Vehicle are covered by insurance, payment to the insurer within the time limits prescribed by applicable law is acceptable. This potential cost is eliminated if I accept the C.D.W. option and comply with the Terms and Conditions of the Rental Agreement, but the deductible must be paid in case of collision if is renter/driver’s fault.
3. Collection and Vehicle Recovery Expenses. All expenses of any kind incurred as a result of collecting amounts due recovery of Vehicle, including reasonable attorney’s fees.
4. Fines and Penalties: Fines and Penalties arising out of the use of the Vehicle.

c. Credit card – I authorize you to reserve credit with the card for an amount equal to all estimated charges. You may charge my credit card from the time of reservation, during delivering of the car and/or after returning the car, if we has been informed by local authorities about fines and any other charges originated during the period rented under your name.
d. Final Audit – I UNDERSTAND THAT ALL CHARGES ARE SUBJECT TO FINAL AUDIT. I authorize any credits or additional charges to be made and paid by the method used at the time of rental or return.

SPECIAL CHARGES

(Prices listed below are in US$)

In case of less than 6 days rental a charge of US$ 10 will be applicable for transportation to the airport, after 1 week of rental (the transportation to the airport) is free of charge.
Charges due to late delivery; 1 hour late = US$ 20. After 2 hours = 1 day charge.
Refuelling charges are US$ 15 per 1/8 tank or any part thereof. Unless has chosen for; “FUEL SERVICES OPTION”. Excess gas will not be refunded.
You are responsible for any damages or loss to the vehicle while in your possession, regardless of vehicle fault.
THIRD PART INSURANCE covers the damage made to the other vehicle upon your payment of a deductible and you are responsible for damages (in case you are appointed by local authorities as responsible of a collision) made to Curacao Rent for Less vehicle.
If you accept the C.D.W. Insurance, you are still responsible for the deductible as a maximum charge.
Additional driver is US$ 5,60 per day THE INSURANCE COVERS ONLY THE RENTER’S DECLARED ON OUR RENTAL AGREEMENT.
Vehicles must be returned at the place & time declared on our Rental Agreement a US$ 75 charge will be applied if abandoned elsewhere; all damages / parking / refuelling / overdue fees will apply.
